Mission: To provide client-specific speech/language, voice and fluency therapy services for all children who have been diagnosed with a disorder. This includes working closely with families, professionals in health care and education to ensure
that desired results are achieved.

In 1984, the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology licensed and authorized, Bertha L. St. John, to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas.

The Solid Rock Speech-Language Clinic was founded by Mrs. St. John. She holds a degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston, as well as a Master of Education Degree.

She believes that early treatment is the key to preventing a disorder from turning into a life long disability. Her mission is to empower children to become effective communicators who will impact their world.
