To provide client-specific speech/language, voice and fluency therapy services for all children who have been diagnosed with a disorder. This includes working closely with families, professionals in health care and educators to ensure that desired results are achieved.
A Speech-Language Pathologist is a professional who is trained to assess, treat and enhance communication skills in people of all ages. They work cooperatively with other professionals in health care and education. Speech Language Pathologist help individuals communicate and take advantage of what life has to offer.
Communication is the way we interact with the world. Think of how devastating it would be not to be able to communicate your thoughts and feelings. Speech and language problems can lead to isolation, frustration and even depression. A speech Pathologist can make a difference in helping others to become effective communicators.
Language is the expression of human communication through which knowledge, belief and behavior can be experienced, explained and shared. A speech or language disorder is the impairment or deviant development of expression and or comprehension of words in context. This disorder includes impaired articulation that adversely affects one's ability to communicate effective with others.
A voice disorder exist when vocal characteristics of pitch, intensity, quality or resonance interfere with communication, draw unfavorable attention to the speaker or listener and /or is inappropriate to the age or sex of the person.
Fluency refers to the natural forward flow of speech. A disorder exist when an abnormal rate of speaking or involuntary repetitions, prolongations or blocks interfere with effective communications.
To provide services to enhance preschoolers in the areas of Social, Cognitive, Language literacy and Physical Development service.
To provide Preschool Language screening Tests.
To provide services to enhance children in Language Development in grades Pre-K through 5th grade. Language Development is the foundation for reading and writing.
In addition, Mrs. St. John, the Director of the Solid Rock Clinic, is a license Minister at Word of Restoration International Church. She has received Biblical Leadership Training where she exercises her gifts in the work of the ministry.
Mrs. St. John has written the curriculum, Teach Me How To Pray, developed for Pre-K through 5th grade along with workbooks for Pre-K, K-2nd and 3rd -5th grade.
In addition, she has written a new book, The Master Key: Learning To Pray Using The Model Prayer.
The book: Turned Upside Down: My Testimony of Transformation was written to encourage others to break through the physical and emotional bondages such as poverty, prejudice, poor self-esteem and and other factors that hold one captive. This book reveals how God can transform one's life and turn it upside down.
The Curriculum Teach Me How To Pray was developed in 2019. It was developed as a desire to lay foundational truths about the Word of God. The pilot program was presented at the WORIC 2019 Prayer Conference for Pre-K through Elementary age.
Teach Me How To Pray Workbooks were developed to encourage children to develop a prayer in a letter format. Praying in this type of manner will teach one to pray specifically. In addition, they learned to date the prayer and expect God to answer. There are three workbooks: Pre-K, Kinder-2nd Grade, and 3rd-5th Grade.
During the Pandemic of COVID-19, the book: The Master Key: Learning To Pray Using The Model Prayer was written as a tool to learn how to pray as Jesus taught his disciples to pray. There are several outlines present in the payer as a way to pray.

My first book Turned Upside Down shares a journey on how God can transform one's life from the inside out.
The Teach Me How To Pray is a curriculum based on a Christian foundational approach to teaching Pre-K through 5th grade students a strategy on how to become effective intercessors.
The workbooks for children ages 4 through 11 years old accompanies the Teach Me How to Pray Curriculum.

Bertha L. St. John earned a Communication Disorders Degree as well as Educational Degree from the University of Houston. After 34 years in public education, she retired from the public school in May 2010. Mrs. St. John is an educator, consultant, business owner, and licensed minister who attends Word of Restoration International Church under Apostle Charles Perry Jr. and Lady Charlette Perry.
At present she is the owner of Solid Rock Speech Language Clinic. She is a Texas Licensed Speech Pathologist and Texas Certified Educator Grandes PreK-12th. Her leadership skills in Christian Education began to emerge when she was served under the late Bishop Dorothy Washington. After becoming a member of Word of Restoration, she continued to grow in favor with God and man. She serves as a Kindergarten teacher and intercessor in her church. In addition, she has written several books and curriculum along with workbooks to teach others how to seek God in prayer.
During the Pandemic of COVID-19 many people were shut-in, Mrs. St. John initiated a Book Club to fulfill a vow that she had made to God as well as a method to reach out to teach others how to pray, endure and stay connected to God during the period of unrest in our nation.
Mrs. St. John is happily married to Elisha St. John for 22 years and they are instilling into two of their grandkids: Mia and Caiden how to seek God in prayer.
